Death note is a Japanese manga series, originally by Tsugumi Ohba written and illustrated by Takeshi Obata around a high school student who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook.
Death note, began as a manga series, first by serialized SHUEISHA in weekly Shonen Jump from the first issue in December 2003 to May 2006 with 108 chapters. The series was published in its entirety in 12 graphic novels in Japan. Finally, death note was licensed for American publication by VIZ Media and began in October 2005 to be released.Later, a number of live-action films, which were based on the series planned for production, with the first part 17 June 2006 published and the second part due out 3 November 2006.Eine anime series based on the manga started air in Japan in October 2006.
